Costa Rican artist Guadalupe Alvarez paints part of "The Land of Guarco" mural in the Municipal Museum in Cartago, 20 miles (32 km) from San Jose, June 22, 2010. The museum commissioned Alvarez to paint the 250 square meters (2,691 feet) mural that depicts 400 years of Costa Rica's history.
